Chapter 9 - Final

Dixon struggled to get out of bed, each movement sending waves of pain through his body. He opened his eyes and saw empty steroid vials  and discarded food containers littering the bedroom floor. He couldn’t reach his phone so had no idea how long he had been asleep for. His left hand moved slowly across his chest and even that tiny movement, caused waves of thick muscle to flex and twitch under his palm. He moved his head a little but could not see anything but the enormous pec shelf obscuring his view. With a grunt, he lifted his left leg up and swung it off the bed. It slammed onto the floor with a loud thud followed shortly by his right leg. He let out a low grunt as he forced himself into a sitting position on the side of bed. He could now see his legs hanging off the bed. He slowly ran his hands over their inhumanly massive size, taking the time to trace some of the larger veins that criss-crossed the surface. After mentally preparing himself for the effort required to stand, Dixon grunted again and hoisted himself up. Once standing, he laboured to shuffle himself towards the bathroom.

Flicking on the lights, Dixon had to steady himself against the vanity as his eyes adjusted to sight reflected back in the mirror.
