It's very easy to write yourself into a corner and I have done so many times. I finally figured out that it helps to have an ending in mind. I don't write the ending first (although I have been tempted to do so) but any more I generally know where I want to end up with a story. Then it's just a matter of getting there without getting lost in the weeds. In other words, I at least subconsciously ask myself "is the chapter I am working on currently moving me towards a conclusion?"

@muscleaddict Any tips on writing short stories? I just keep adding stuff to it. (Goes out to all the other great writers on here as well! @londonboy @Broody @arpeejay @TQuintA )

I'd actually forgotten about the fact this is an attempt at a story in an American setting with American characters. Hopefully it feels pretty authentic and if it doesn't - Archie wrote it, not me. You might be in luck there!

There is this story that I read and I can't find it anymore. It was about a guy who is getting a new neighbor which is massive. The main character finds him incredibly hot, but is too intimidated by his size to interact with him. I can remember a few scènes: one where the main character help the neighbor with some tech issues, and a scene when the main character loses his job which wakes up the neighbor and makes him grow because he can feel his pain. There some kind of plot about gods and secret lovers. The neighbor appears to be a demi-god and the main character his secret lover. Does someone recognize this story? I would like to read it again.

Hmmm... possibly! I'm glad you like it though, mate. I've had this idea for a while - one of my fictional characters writing a muscle story. It kind of allows me to shake things up a bit and maybe do something which is a bit different to my usual stuff. I was in two minds about the fictional forum members/comments but it's too late now...

I know from your stories, MA, that you're the cliffhanger king! And I'm pretty sure that's where I learned how to do them, also! As the main characters are from Florida, the setting of part of the story at the 2023 Mr. O in Orlando seemed like such a natural. Thanks for the compliment and encouragement.
